Anybody going through chronic pain knows the frustration. What did PRP do for me? Pain went from a 9 to a 2 and sometimes 0. Activity? Before I couldn't do anything and was in pain. After, some limitations but no lasting pain. For example, I'm jump roping and running but no load bearing above 30 pounds. It's a learning pain. PRP improved my health. I had suffered from degenerating discs, bulging discs and arthritis in my lower back for 25 years. I initially went to Integrative Rehab Medicine as they offered DiscSeel, which I heard was a great option for me. Although I was a candidate for this, I opted for PRP and prolotherapy. My recovery was a bit longer than o hoped at 8-12 weeks but I am finally pain free and only get discomfort for a day or so with movements that may have had me down for 2 months. The care in office was wonderful with great follow ups. They also allowed my personal trainer into my physical therapy to ensure we were on the same page with my recovery.
